Knudsen Carving Contest :)

So last night was our annual "Knudsen Pumpkin Carving Competition!" If you know anything about the Knudsen's (mainly Shane and Coby) everything has to be a competition, so Halloween time comes around and it's 'who can carve the best pumpkin.' This is the second year we've done this as a family, but it has now become an annual tradition that I hope we continue to do every year.

I did the witch and Coby did the werewolf! I must admit, I am pretty proud of myself, due to the fact that all I've ever done has been the usual Jack-o'-Lantern face (you know.... with the triangle eyes and nose, with the big grin) That has always been the extent of my pumpkin carving until I married Coby! :)

And then here they are in their final destination place in front of our house. I have to quickly say how much I love the fall. I have always thought that I was a summer/winter type of person, but I realized this year that I completely love the fall time! I wish it would last longer, since now we are jumping into the dead of winter with the current snow outside :( Don't get me wrong, I love the snow, but the weather always does this..... gives us a little tease and first snow storm, and then doesn't snow again until the end of December.

Anywho.... Baby K is still just a cookin' inside and enjoying the "warm weather" before making his presence into the world. There were moments when I thought we might be having him early, but now-a-days, I think we might be going right up until November 8th! As long as we don't go over, I'll take anything :) Did I mention, I am officially 38 weeks today? 2 weeks can't come fast enough.

Shower #2

Last friday, October 8th, I had another baby shower with my friends and it was so much fun. I love all of these girls. We don't get together nearly enough. I sometimes forget what it's like to laugh so much. Love love love them!!!

It was such a fun shower and I owe Mel and Di big time for everything they did. I seriously have some of the best friends anyone could ever ask for. Once again, our little K got so spoiled. I still can't believe I only have 3 1/2 weeks until he gets here. So so crazy!!

I have now started the weekly Dr. appointments and found out yesterday that I am not dilated at all, but that our baby is head down, we're both still measuring great and right on, and his little heartbeat continues to be right as it should be. It still seems so crazy to me that he is so close to coming, but we couldn't be more happy!

Pregnancy Jitters.....

So here we are, so very close to ending this 9 month journey..... and suddenly I've got the nervous jitters!! Nervous for labor, the epidural, if there will be any complications, when exactly he'll be coming (early? late? right on time?), are we really ready, will he be heatlhy, will and can I be a good mom, breast feeding, and the list seems to be endless sometimes. Do all new mothers feel this way.... is this normal??

Don't get me wrong, we are still super super excited and can't wait for our little man to get here, somedays I just get slightly nervous. I just want him to be healthy and to do everything in my power to be a good mom. I feel like sometimes throughout this pregnancy, I forgot that pregnancy actually ends, and it results in a little person!

All in all, he'll be coming very soon and we couldn't be happier!!! :) And being at 35 weeks, we can't wait for the end to get here.

Here we are at 34 weeks!

We are so very close to being completely done with his nursery, so I'll be posting pics of his room.... very soon! Seriously, he is all we think about and talk about! We are already so in love with our little boy!

The last few weeks have been.... let's just say, something new!

• Although I haven't slept really great this whole pregnancy, it's gotten worse, and I hardly sleep at night. I just toss and turn, get up for the bathroom (once sometimes twice) :) and try to fall back to sleep again. I feel so run down by the time I get home from work, I barely get dinner ready and then want to crash.
• Another new experience is that of running a marathon a.k.a going up and down the stairs numerous times a day. I still find it so funny to be winded after climbing the stairs :)
• Reflux.... need I say more? Just the last few weeks, any time I lay down flat or on my right side I feel acid/reflux coming back up. Not so much fun!
• Feeling him move never gets old! Although it's a little more robust and intense (sometimes a little painful) we both still get excited every time he moves. I love watching Coby light up any time he moves. Coby is always wanting to feel or watch him move and gets a kick out of the really big movements or when my belly is lop-sided with little K on one side or something poking out! :)
• We've got everything practically assembled, put up, and ready to go, and usually everyday just go sit in his room getting excited.
• Still no cravings really (not that I know of) but we have recently become fans of the Yoplait fruit smoothies..... they are so good and healthy. (freezer section of wal-mart, just add milk)
• As far as the pregnancy goes, I'm measuring right on and his heartbeat is always strong and perfect. We start the weekly appointments and checks starting next week.... so here we go! :)

Baby Shower :)

September 11, 2010 my sisters threw me a baby shower in Ftn. Green..... and it was so fun!

Here is a sneak peek at what our little man's nursery is going to look like. Once again, my talented sister Amanda made all the baby bedding, etc..... and I absolutely love it!

As many of you know, my grandma Aagard just passed away the end of August. She had this beautiful blue afghan made by her neighbor Bernitta and had it at her house ready for the shower. I wasn't expecting anything and was a little shocked when I opened this present.... and started bawling. I miss my grandma so much and am so sad our little one won't get to meet his great-grandma.

And then after the shower, Alyson and I got a little camera happy and decided to take lots of prego pictures. I would be 32 weeks here and she was 38. Luckily here little man decided to stay inside and she was able to host the shower at her house and be there too!

I always bugged Al that I wanted to have babies at the same time and here we are, 6 weeks apart! :)

She is absolutely tiny and her little belly just pokes straight out, where as my whole belly is huge:)



And then here are me and both my pregnant sisters. It's so fun being pregnant together and I am so excited for all of our little ones to get here!

28 WEEKS!!!

I can't believe our little guy will be here in 11-12 weeks! We are so so excited and can't wait to meet our little man!

Here we are at 28 weeks! Obviously you'll be able to tell looking for yourself from the pics... but have I told anyone how huge I feel?? We've really been packing on the pounds and growing just the last 7 weeks.

Everything seems to be going great with this pregnancy though. Our baby's heartbeat is always strong and right on track and we are both measuring great!

And here is our little man at 27 weeks! We were able to do a 3D ultrasound, but once again due to his hands always being up by his face, we weren't able to get any clear pictures. Every ultrasound we have had up to this point, he always has his left hand by his face (so cute, but not great for getting good face pictures:) We are already so in love with him and can't wait to get him here!

Some of our other pregnancy facts:

• He is constantly moving around... like crazy (and it never gets old, we love it)
• He is usually most active at night and right when I get home from work everyday
• I miss sleeping on my stomach so bad, but am really getting used to the routine of tossing and turning from side to side every night :) I think the lack of sleep is only preparing me for the future.
• Palmer's cocoa-butter is a nightly ritual and has been since day one. So far it's working like a charm, but who's to say these last weeks won't throw us for a few surprises (I'm crossing my fingers though)
• I think we've finally decided on a name.... but you'll all just have to wait for that :)
• It's always fun to feel him move, but it's been so crazy feeling him kick on one side and punch on the other (supposedly he's around 16inches right now, and due to mine and Coby's genetics... he has the chance of being a tall fella)
• I am so anxious and excited to get his nursery all ready. My sister is so close to finishing the bedding, and this next week we are picking up the dresser and chair..... and then the decorating will begin! I can't wait. His nursery is going to be so cute!
• I still haven't really had any cravings (I don't think), other than constantly wanting Apple Jacks cereal and banana cremies when I was in my throwing up days.
• I can't wait to see Coby with our little one- he is already so great.... with rubbing the cocoa-butter on most nights, beaming everytime he gets to feel him move, still can't forget those weeks of Coby bringing me food/breakfast in bed every morning to prevent me from throwing up and being nauseated, and him getting so excited to set up the crib (which he did the day after we bought it) dresser, etc. He is going to be such a great daddy!
• And have I mentioned how excited we are to get our little one here??? It's all we think about. We can't wait to meet our little Baby K!

4 YEARS!!

As cheesy as it may sound -


So I may be a month and 9 days late, but on July 7th Coby and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary!! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to reflect on our last 4 years togeher.

We were married in the Manti temple on July 7th, 2006 and it is a day I will always remember!
The past 4 years have brought so many fun and exciting adventures/memories into our lives. With Coby I first experienced snowboarding, yankee stadiu/New York, viewing our Presidents home in D.C, the Statue of Liberty, the Thriller dance production (and it's scary zombies), Jazz games........
The Sanpete County Rodeo, Washington D.C. and the Nation's capital, the Anniversary Inn Jungle/Safari Suite, Washington monument, the Jazz......

BYU football, living in and loving California, the Fairview derby, National Arches in Moab, Bear Lake.......

Along with many other adventures! :) Coby has taught me so much in the last 4 years and I am so lucky to have him in my life. These last 4 years have flown by and I can't imagine my life without him. He truly is the best thing that has happened to me. It's been fun looking back at all the many things we have done..... and remembering all the fun (California, Park City, current Ephraim home), stressful (Mary Nielson RA's), and ghetto (Greenwood Hall in Ephraim) places we have lived and experienced. AND we are so excited for our biggest adventure yet to come... our little boy in November. We couldn't be happier and are so excited to start this part of ourlives together!

This year we celebrated our anniversary by going to the Anniversary Inn (2nd year in a row, thanks so my IHC discount and last minute decision :)

If you've never been to the Anniversary Inn, I totally recommend it. It is such a fun/neat experience and you feel completely secluded and relaxed... just what every couple needs every now and then.

We stayed in the Mountain Hide-away suit and loved it. For one of the cheaper rooms, it was still very nice and we enjoyed every minute.

Once again, I can't believe that I lucked out and caught such an amazing guy! Coby, I love you more and more everyday, and am so lucky to have you! Here's to many many more years full of adventures together!

~LAMB DAYS~

For any of you who know me, then you most likely know that Lamb Days is my most favorite time of year!! I absolutely love the holiday and can't wait for it to get here every year. As always, the week was full of the town co-ed softball tournament which happened every night. We love playing in it every year.... unfortunately I was on the sidelines being a cheerleader, supporting Coby. But you better believe I will be back and playing next year (with no prego belly:)

During the middle of the week, we were able to go swimming at Burastons with our cousins Josie and Marc, along with Amanda and Brandon. It was so much fun. Here are some pics of the boys and their craziness on the huge rope swing!

Another new festivity currently joining the Lamb Day fun, is the now annual volleyball tournament. Once again, I was on the side line.... and have I ever mentioned to anyone how much I hate watching from the side. I would so much rather be playing, especially when it comes to volleyball. None the less, I was a great coach :) and babysitter!

Everybody's muscles and my hubby's poor injured arm. He re-opened (for like the 3rd time) a huge scab on his arm and it started bleeding pretty bad. Luckily here we had bandages and a wrap, but the first night all we had were the supplies of a diaper bag..... so yep, you guessed it.... we cleaned it with baby wipes and wrapped it with a diaper!! :) I literally almost peed my pants, it was so funny.

All in all, Lamb Days was once again a huge success! Filled with lots of fun, family, food, and softball/volleyball. Can't wait til next year! Mark your calendars for the 3rd weekend in July 2011.
