Our busy little boy!

Kayson is now 17 months and is busier than ever! This is definitely one, if not my most favorite stage he's in right now. Here's what our little boy is up to these days:

-He LOVES being outside and could play outside all day! It always makes him so sad to come in
-He is back to eating really good and always wants to feed himself. He's very good with a spoon and fork
-This kid loves milk!
-Kays still has two 1 1/2 -2hr naps
- Bedtime is 9 and he'll sleep til at least 8:30 or 9! (9:30 this last week) he's a GOOD little sleeper!
-He is such a little chatter box and can practically repeat anything you say.
-Some of his newest and latest words are: yellow, green, cuddle, cookie, apple, please, thank you, bus, kid, hi dad, hi bud, hi momma, what, thank you, no! (hate that one), Jesus, shoes, socks (sockies), book, bink, hello, wii, up, all done, button, snowman, swing, walk, grandma, grandpa (papa) and many more
-Loves me to sing 'Once there was a snowman' while he helps act it out
-Also loves patty cake and knows all the parts :)
-LOVES reading books and can reinact or imitate everything I do on every page every time we read!
-He is so so smart! He can say what most of the animals say and kinda learned it on his own! He'll do the lion, bear, pig, horse, elephant, monkey, kitty, dog, duck, sheep, cow, and owl
-He loves helping me make my bed every morning and hands me all the pillows.
-He knows his toes, fingers, belly button, ears, eyes, nose, tongue, teeth, mouth, and hair
-He has a favorite blanket: his animal fleece one that's tied ... And he always falls asleep playing with the ties or rubbing them on his own face or across his eyebrow! So cute!
-Loves buses and we watch them drive by our house everyday singing: 'the wheels on the bus'
-He also loves fire trucks and will imitate the sound: nee-new-nee-new
-He'll pound on his chest and make the ape/Tarzan sound
-If you ask him 'how old are you?' he'll lift up his pointer finger and say "one!"
-He'll pet things (our cat or people) and say "nice" or "soft"
-Whenever he "toots" he'll smile and say "tooted"
-He's always running... Walking isn't enough anymore :)
-He's our little prayer reminder: any time we sit down to eat, he folds his arms and knows exactly when the prayer is over and says "amen!"
-Kays gives high fives and knuckles.... While saying "knuckles"
And now thanks to my sister Amanda, he likes to bump elbows, and say "elbows"
-He loves to sweep or push our swiffer sweeper around
-Also right now he's big into kicking our big ball around and can do it while running!
-Kayson takes a binki to nap and go to bed... And I'm gonna break that habit hopefully starting next week.
-He loves going for walks in the stroller, riding in his bike trailer, or hiking in his hiking backpack

We love you little man and are so lucky to have you in our lives!

~3 Month Recap~

I cannot believe how busy we have been these last few months and I realize how much I have to try and remember to keep you all updated with our lives! So here it goes.....(Dani, Brooke, Me, Aubrie, Kim- We're missing Savannah)

I LOVED playing women's volleyball out here in Delta!! I had the funnest team and we were actually really good too :) We took 3rd in the tournament.

Come March, we FINALLY had snow in Delta.... that stuck around for longer than just the morning. Kayson and I had so much fun playing in it.

Yes! Those would be grocery sacks around his legs :)

Building our first ever Snowmen!

We had so much fun!!

Kayson loved every minute

Along with that first snowstorm in March, Coby and I were finally able to go snowboarding this season. We went up to Brighton with my sister Alyson, nephews Vance and Jared, and cousin Meg! Such a blast and perfect day!

The very last run of the day, I took a little tumble and both Coby and I thought I broke my collar bone. Come to find out, it was only a small tear in the shoulder joint, and I was still able to play volleyball the next week :)

On our way home from snowboarding, Coby wanted to stop and show Kayson the fish at Cabella's. Kayson was so entrigued with them and wanted to touch all of them. On the other hand.... some of the bigger fish slightly freak me out!

I just wanted to post these cute pics of Kayson.

He is always so busy and into everything.

This particular day he decided to put all of his stuffed animals into the swing. After several attempts, he finally got them all to stay.

Loving him some O.J.!!

Kayson loves our kitty, or better put, the cat that stays with the house we rent.

He is always tapping on the window meowing at the cat, or saying "Hi kitty" and he has learned to pet and be "soft" or "nice"

But..... leave it to Coby to teach him how to play/torment the cat with a stick :)

Coby loves coming home from work and playing with his little bud. They had a grand time fishing together!

That same day, we decided to build a fort in our front room...

We have also enjoyed the Delta pool a time or two :)

Here is Kays with his twin cousins Bronse and Brody

Handsome boys!!

Kayson went through a phase where he was obsessed with the Wii!

He will never sit to watch tv or anything else, but if it's donkey kong or mario brother/mario cart, he's all in! He'd grab the paddles and run around yelling "wii wii"

Back in December, we got to spend a lot of time at my parents and we got to go help grandpa Brad feed the sheep! Kayson loved all the animals and especially our old horse Chink!

He wasn't afraid of anything!

This is how I often find Kayson sleeping... resting his legs on the bumper pads! :)

Also around the end of December, my whole family went up Fairview to go sledding.
Kays looks like a chubby little blue marshmellow!

Despite the pics, Kayson loved it and we all had so much fun!
