Half-Way There!!! :)

So for those of you who haven't already heard..... Coby and I are expecting our first little baby November 8th, which means....... that we are now half-way there at 20 weeks!! :) I can't believe how fast time has flown by, so here's a little bit of the story:

Coby and I are so excited to start our family, and when it came time to take my first ever pregnancy test (around the first of March), let's just say there was a lot of anxious-ness, nervousness, and excitement. I came home from work and couldn't wait any longer to take the test! Coby was busy taking a school test on the computer, but he said he was almost finished, so I went ahead and did my little test (without telling him). **Now just a side note..... I do these tests all the time at work on patients before any surgery, and all I ever see is the one line next to the 'C', and no line next to the 'T' which indicates that they are NOT pregnant.** So when I took my test, I noticed the 'C' line appear right away.... and couldn't believe when the 'T' line subtly started to appear!!! I had never seen a 'T' line appear before, so I had to keep double and triple checking before I actually realized what this meant...... I WAS PREGNANT!!! :)

Now as I mentioned, Coby was taking a school test and informed me that he was almost finished..... I didn't know that he thought almost finished meant a HALF HOUR LEFT! I didn't want to interrupt his testing, so I just started prancing, bouncing, and pacing around the house. I was going insane. Finally I just sat next to him and quickly urged him through his last few questions. He finally finished and I told him to go grab something for me in the bathroom. Now as most wives know, men have 'girl' eyes and 'boy' eyes. When you know something is really on the shelf or in the cupbord and they say they can't find it.... just remind them to use their 'girl' eyes and it almost always pops into place. (similar to selective hearing.... it's selective sight-seeing.) So of course he didn't notice the test sitting there on the bathroom counter, next the mascara I asked him to go grab!! So I sent him back again to just look around for anything unusual. Even though he didn't know what meant positive or negative he came beaming out of the bathroom and I just started smiling, crying, shaking.... you name it!! We were so excited! He came and picked me up, and gave me the biggest hug ever! He was grinning from ear to ear!! Needless to say, we were and still are very very excited!

Here is Coby holding our Easter egg made for our little Baby K!!!

We hadn't told anybody about us being pregnant yet, and didn't want to tell anyone until we heard the hearbeat, so we had to secretively make the egg without Coby's family seeing! :)

So So excited!!

So everything was great with the pregnancy, first doctors appointment at 6 weeks was great, still running, exercising everyday and I thought this was going to be one smooth journey. Boy was I wrong!! :( Week 7 hit, and everything else hit with it too! Morning sickness, or should I say ALL-DAY sickness hit with full fource and wasn't holding anything back! I couldn't keep anything down and was constantly throwing everything up! I never knew that pregnancy was supposed to be such a great weight loss program ;) And on top of the all-day sickness, I got a terrible sinus-infection, head cold, bronchitis, and would throw up every time I coughed!! It was awful! As soon as I got over the head cold, etc, the nausea and all-day sickness slowly started to wear off. I went from throwing up all day, to maybe 1 or 2 times a day, to once or twice a week, and have now been vomit free for 3 weeks!!! :) Happy Days!!!

Here are my first pregnancy pictures at 17 weeks!!

And then our first family pics!!!

And here is our little..... BOY!!!! (sorry for the graphic pic)

We actually got a little sneek peek at our baby at 15 1/2 weeks and found out he was a boy then!! So the first pic is 15 weeks! Official ultrasound at 19 1/2 weeks!! Here's his little foot!

The whole ultrasound he was just reclining back with his ankles crossed and arms across his face. He moved his hands from his face, one time..... only to scratch his head and suck his thumb (so dang cute!)

I love his perfect little profile!

And then here's a face shot (kinda alien-like, but none the less cute) at the 15 week ultrasound!

Needless to say, we are completely in love with our little guy and can't wait to get him here! We are so excited and can't wait to start this new adventure in our lives!

St. George

About a month ago, we had a little girls trip to St. George. Alyson had an EMT conference, so Jenny and I tagged along for a little R&R..... which is exactly what we got! We slept in every morning, relaxed by the pool (until Jenny got too burnt to go out again:) and had tons of fun. We obviously went shopping, ate tons of yummy food, and went to the movie 'Letters to Juliet'. We were also able to hang out with our cousins Josie and Marc at their cute little house in St. George, and have a BBQ and some hot tub action.

Here are Jenny and I after our rollerblading extravaganza!!!

Jenny and I also got to go to the St. George Temple. It is so pretty.

We also found time to go hiking the Red Cliffs, just north of St. George!

All in all, the trip was a blast and much needed. It was so nice to get away from work and daily worries. It also came at a perfect time for me (being pregnant and sicker than sick the past few weeks), St. George was exactly what I needed!!!
